Spine Procedures
Our approach begins with a detailed review of MRI or CT scans, a full physical examination, and a comprehensive assessment of the patient’s symptoms. This in-depth evaluation allows our surgeons to pinpoint the exact source of pain and design a personalized surgical plan.
Each procedure is performed incrementally, one vertebral level at a time, focusing first on the areas causing the most pain. We do not use general anesthesia—instead, we rely on local anesthesia and conscious IV sedation, keeping the patient comfortable and alert, which enables real-time feedback during surgery. This enhances precision and ensures optimal outcomes.
In the operating room, patients are asked to perform mobility tests to verify pain relief before moving to post-operative care. Following the procedure, patients consult with their surgeon to determine if additional steps from the treatment plan are needed. If necessary, follow-up procedures are scheduled within days, allowing inflammation to subside. During recovery, patients begin a guided walking therapy program to support healing and mobility.
Common Spine Procedures We Perform
Depending on your diagnosis and specific needs, your treatment plan may include one or more of the following minimally invasive spine procedures:
• Bone Fragment Removal
• Decompression of Pars Defect
• Discectomy
• External Foraminotomy
• Facet Ablation / Rhizolysis
• Facetectomy
• Foraminotomy
• Spinal Hardware Removal
• Laminectomy
• Laminotomy
• Partial Inferior Facetectomy
• Pediculectomy
• Re-exploration of Spinal Fusion
• Resection of Osteophytes (Bone Spurs)
• Scar Tissue Removal
• SI Joint Debridement
• Spinous Process Debridement
Our goal is to identify and treat the root cause of your pain using targeted, precise techniques that support long-term recovery and improved quality of life.
